Casa Vega is a unique house. Located in the heart of the Axarquia in the
province of Malaga, it dates from 1948 and was renovated in 2022.
It incorporates authentic and traditional aspects of the local architecture and
modern and functional aspects of contemporary architecture.

The previous owners were the first owners of the small farm, they lived from
agriculture and livestock. The original house consisted of a central family
core – with two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom – and
some adjoining rooms that housed the corrals and stables on one side and

Inside, the communal areas have been moved to the centre of the house, a large,
open multifunctional space serves as a distribution axis for the rest of the rooms.

furnished with antique and design furniture, creating a mix in which everything
coexists in harmony. The modern up-to-date kitchen has been designed in such
a way that it is fully integrated into the space and has been made with top quality
materials. The kitchen furniture is made of ship’s wood finished with oak wood
and is very durable. This large common area of approximately 40 m2 is articulated
by the load-bearing wall, which houses a passageway and a large arch.

From this large room there is access to the three bedrooms, on one side there is
a bedroom, which used to be the kitchen, with a large fireplace that used to be the
hearth where cooking was done. This bedroom has a double bed
and an en-suite bathroom. On the other side of the house and through the common
area there is access to the other two rooms which share a large bathroom which was
originally the stable. One of the rooms has a double bed, the
other room consists of two rooms on different levels. The first level can have various
uses, such as a play area, a study or an office. This space has a niche and a closet.
The bedroom consists of two masonry beds at different heights, creating a modern
and pleasant space.

On the south side of the detached house is the 840m2 plot of irrigated land.
The land is terraced with fruit trees. The house has avocado, orange, lemon, fig and
carob trees. The plot is equipped with drip irrigation and has water from a communal
irrigation channel.

The front terrace has a green roof that protects approximately 50% of the terrace
from the sun. The pool is on the uncovered part, the outdoor shower room is on another
level, in what used to be the corral. The pool is equipped with a salt water filter and
