De cortijo is characterised by its mix of Andalusian old and modern new.
The front part is the old part of the cortijo and has a rural look on the outside with
very old rejas/ironwork, roof tiles and wooden details that give the house extra character.
In 1993, a new part was added to the house in ‘Ibiza’ style, with lots of light and natural
materials. A spacious hallway/entrance connects the two parts. In 2012, the current owner
completely renovated the house in collaboration with a well-known Belgian architect.
This created a whole new interior that makes the house one with the garden, swimming
pool and natural surroundings. The cortijo has two entrances and the entire property
(4,680m2) is fenced.

Riogordo is easily reached by car, bike and on foot. Málaga airport can be reached
within 45 minutes and the beach at the seaside resort of Torre del Mar is also around
45 minutes by car. Thanks to its central location in the Axarquía on a flat plateau, the
area around Riogordo is perfect for beautiful walks or tours by mountain bike.
In the village you will find all the amenities you need for everyday life.
There are also several good restaurants and cosy tapas bars. Originally, Riogordo was an
old farming village focused on agriculture, so you can still feel the authentic Spanish

INTERIOR DESCRIPTION:

a stove (a wood-burning stove and a pellet stove). The property has a mains water supply
from the municipality, hot water is generated via new solar panels via a solar boiler and
is connected to the electricity grid. The windows are double-glazed.
